Sharna Burgess Reveals IVF Journey With Brian Austin Green To Expand Family

Sharna Burgess is dancing to a different beat, which has nothing to do with the ballroom. The Dancing With the Stars alum has been very open about her desire to start a family with fiancé Brian Austin Green, and she's not taking any steps to fate. The duo is getting ready to go on an in-vitro fertilization (IVF) ride, hoping to bring a new little one into their mixed family.

The 39-year-old didn't sugarcoat her desire to be a mother again in her candid appearance on the Money Rehab podcast on May 6. Already a mother to two-year-old son Zane Green with Beverly Hills, 90210 actor Green, Sharna revealed she wants to expand their family and knows when she would like to do it. "I do totally want to go through this again," Burgess said. "his year is crazy, but I'm going to put out there that hopefully, maybe the end of next year, we're looking at getting pregnant."

The schedule is still tentative, but her enthusiasm is not. The Australian dancer was honest about how timing, preparation, and intention fit into the mix. Having spent a career that frequently keeps her in the spotlight, Sharna's attention has now been diverted to one of the most personal chapters of her life, one filled with science and patience but mainly with a lot of heart. Knowing that age plays a part, Burgess is pragmatic about her choices but positive about her quest. "Even though my eggs are fine and medicine's wonderful," she said when she sent her eggs to her clinic in New York City. "I want to be as young as I can possibly be," she said.

Burgess is not going into this chapter solo. As for Megan's other half, Brian Austin Green already has children. He also has three sons, Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex-wife Megan Fox and a 23-year-old son, Kassius, with actress Vanessa Marcil. Sharna has welcomed her new role as stepmother with open arms and an overflowing heart, and now, she dreams of introducing a baby girl to the mix. As for why the couple has decided to go down the IVF route, it is as much about family planning as it is a proactive decision to create their future. Burgess had expressed a desire to welcome a daughter through the method, something lots of women undergoing IVF think about when gender selection is on the table.

Instead, the dance pro's candidness about her IVF experience sheds much-needed light on something many couples struggle with in silence. By speaking up, Sharna voices what she hopes for and helps others feel more comfortable talking about fertility treatments. For women in their late 30s to early 40s, IVF is often a pathway to parenthood, and Burgess's candidness is refreshing and empowering. Though no IVF has been undertaken yet, Burgess and Green seem on the same page about what they want out of the future. The engaged and flourishing couple have already created a family together, and their wish to grow brings them even closer.

As strenuously as she danced her peers into a ballroom-induced envy coma, Sharna Burgess moves through life with the same grace, strength, and intention. As fans root for her from a distance, it is clear that her biggest performance to date could also be motherhood, part two. With 2026 looming as a potential milestone year for their expanding family, Burgess' IVF plans are filled with rainbows, love, and distant dreams for the next chapter.
