Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness's divorce was finalized after 27 years of marriage. The couple first confirmed they were splitting in September 2023, legally ending their marriage one month after Furness filed for divorce. People obtained documents confirming the divorce date to be June 23, 2025.
Furness and Jackman married 27 years ago and have two children, Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19. Despite terminating their marriage, the pair are said to have hashed out the details of their divorce, such as child support and health care expenses, TMZ has claimed. With the assistance of attorney Elena Karabatos, Furness filed a petition for health coverage maintenance and obtained a medical support order for their children. The papers, including a proposed divorce judgment, were filed in New York State, meaning the end of their marriage has now been legally approved.

The couple's breakup has been a matter of intense public interest, as they were considered one of Hollywood's most beloved couples for nearly three decades. The two stars met in the mid-90s and married shortly after. Fan favorite Jackman, who identified with playing Wolverine in the X-Men series, and Furness, a talented actress and producer, met in 1995. Their marriage was widely regarded as good, with public and private occasions evidencing their closeness.
Jackman and Furness have continued to co-parent their kids amicably since their split, and both have publicly spoken out about having nothing but respect for one another. They have made a point of being as discreet and respectful of each other as possible while navigating the legal process, declining to publicly comment on the details of their divorce beyond what has been filed in court.
Though Jackman simply chose to focus on his successful acting journey, which also sees him reprising his iconic role as Wolverine for the Deadpool 3 film, Furness has continued to work in her professional field. Their divorce being made official represents new beginnings for them both, but these two will still be friendly, if not downright respectful, of each other, if only because of their children. With the legal mumbo jumbo out of the way, the exes end their personal and financial entanglements after a remarkable, if not done, partnership.
