The Dancing With the Stars pro went off after receiving a disgusting message about her and husband Valentin Chmerkovskiy's 2-year-old son, Rome. The unkind comment came in response to a photo that Jenna had posted of her young son drinking from a baby bottle, a cute moment that had been marred by a stranger's cold-hearted words. The aggressive, ableist message insulted Rome because he was drinking from a bottle, calling him a "fat r—–d." Jenna, clearly fuming, hopped on her Instagram Stories on July 5 to respond to the criticism and defend her son in an emotional, powerful post.

"Soooo yesterday I posted a pic of me and my son, who I hadn't seen in 4 days, and lots of people felt strongly about him drinking from a bottle," she wrote. "Totally fine when other moms give *positive* advice, and I'm always open to feedback to an extent. But this woman (who's profile pic if her holding her own baby) decided to DM me this..." Jenna's reply was about drawing a line. Above all, a mother, she was defending not only Rome but every parent who has ever been criticized for the way they raise a child.

"What world are we living in??" Jenna continued. "I understand that I put my life out there publicly, which I honestly want to STOP doing when extremely rude and harmful messages toward my baby are sent to me," she said in the video.
