Lindsay Lohan Says She Prefers Living in Dubai To Hollywood

Lindsay Lohan has swapped the glitz and glamour of Hollywood for the quiet beauty of Dubai, and she's thrilled about her decision. The actress, known for films like Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, recently shared why she enjoys her peaceful life in the UAE, contrasting it with the busy and often intrusive nature of life in Los Angeles. Now at 39 years old, Lohan lives in Dubai with her husband, Bader Shammas, and their young son, Luai.

After more than ten years in Dubai, she recently spoke on Live With Kelly and Mark about the surprising reasons for her move and why she has no regrets. "It's just far away from Hollywood, and I live a very normal life," Lindsay explained. She appreciates that she doesn't have to worry about being followed by cameras or someone taking pictures of her son. "I feel very safe," she added. One significant reason for her sense of safety in Dubai is the strict rules regarding people taking photos of others in public.

Unlike in Hollywood, where cameras are everywhere, people in Dubai can't take your picture without your permission. This change has allowed Lindsay to enjoy her life much more freely. "It's not legal," she noted. "You can't take a picture of someone else if you're in a restaurant. You have to ask the person, which is a big difference from here." Having faced intense public attention during her early career, Lindsay now stresses the importance of privacy, especially as a mother. "Privacy is key," she said, a feeling likely shared by many celebrities with families.

Even though she's far from Hollywood, Lindsay still experiences the fun and challenges of being a parent. She humorously shared that her toddler, Luai, already knows how to tease her in the cute ways only little kids can. Her priorities have shifted from acting to finding stability and happiness outside of the limelight. Lindsay's choice to move to Dubai represents a new chapter in her life. By focusing on family, peace, and freedom from constant attention, she has discovered a level of normalcy that many stars still seek in Los Angeles.
