Bronchitis is a respiratory condition that causes inflammation in the airways, leading to coughing, chest tightness, and fatigue. Dreyfuss said that the pain was too much, and he had to prioritize his health and recovery, even before the fan convention. The actor was assuaging the fears of his fans, who would have loved to see him at SharkCon, but he decided that it was better to be safe than sorry, and he didn't want his condition to worsen or spread the infection.
