Will Sims sparks a revolution with bold new album "Do You Feel Alive?"

Baltimore artist Will Sims puts over ten years of work, love, and artistic growth into the release of his latest LP, "Do You Feel Alive?," a genre-agnostic, emotionally unvarnished adventurous collection of work that hurts as much as it heals. Co-released with producer Tony Correlli and recorded at Deep End Studio, this 7-track album is the result of untold hours of blood, sweat, and reinvention.

Drawing from a rich well of influences that include hip-hop, indie rock, punk, dream pop, EDM, and funk, as well as alternative and pop rock, Sims is anything but easy to pin down, and that's the point. Drawing on musical touchstones from the organ-heavy glam of David Bowie to the brazen albumin and barefaced costs of Trent Reznor's industrial punch, "Do You Feel Alive?" is an often cathartic and cinematic trek through human emotion, doubt, determination, and enlightenment.

From the high-octane attitude of "Full Speed Ahead" to the soul-searching introspection on "Better Off Alone," the emotions ebb and flow through the LP. Tracks such as "Decisions, Decisions," featuring fantastic guitar lines from Joe Ruggiero, and "The Mourning Moon" draw you into even heavier emotional territory, while guest vocalists Lindsay Collette and Abbey Danna elevate the musical atmosphere.

"Do You Feel Alive?" is no typical album. It feels like an artistic rebirth. It is the sound of someone struggling back through time, struggling and despairing to find purpose again and giving us a soundtrack to accompany it. Fans can rejoice in the release date at a live show on August 23rd at Monument City Brewing Company in Will Sims' hometown, Baltimore, where he'll perform the song in all its soul-stirring glory.
