More than 25 years after The Nanny waved farewell, Fran Drescher showed that the bonds made on set are still going strong. The beloved actress, best known to legions of fans as the stylish and witty Fran Fine, recently reunited with her former costars, Renée Taylor and Nicholle Tom, in Massachusetts for a night of reminiscence, imagination, and genuine good cheer.
Drescher took to Instagram, where she and her ex-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson, who co-created The Nanny with her, shared their enduring admiration for Taylor. "A magical night of theater happened," she observed, declaring the show a win for capturing "this triumph celebrates the creative and complex love-filled marriage & relationship" in the center.

At 92, Taylor still manages to hold court like a regal queen, charming audiences with the same wacky humor that endeared her to viewers everywhere. Drescher reveals that not only did Taylor create the show, but she is also the narrator who welcomes audiences into and out of it, leading them on a bittersweet journey with flashbacks dating back to when she was 30. These moments chronicle her time with Bologna, weaving memories from The Nanny era to the more touching times of Joe's battle with cancer before he died in 2018
In addition to seeing Taylor sharing the stage with Nicholle Tom, who played Maggie Sheffield, the compassionate and whip-smart stepdaughter in The Nanny, the reunion offers an extra dash of nostalgia for those who truly remember. If you loved the show and its humor, warmth, and strong sense of family, then seeing Fran, Sylvia & Maggie reunited was a treasure. It was all very Fran Fine (The Nanny) and a reminder that even though the TV moments may be short-lived, the friendships and creative partnerships off-camera can last a lifetime. This was about the love, the strength to carry on, and the necessity of storytelling in their lives.
