Jillian Michaels Slams Allegations In Netflix's Biggest Loser Documentary

Jillian Michaels, the infamous no-nonsense trainer who became a household name on The Biggest Loser, is firing back after being dragged for filth in Netflix's new documentary, Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser. For the first time since those claims were reported, Michaels has come forward to address them directly. And it sure sounds like she's not keeping quiet.

The Netflix documentary revisits the NBC weight-loss reality series and the behind-the-scenes controversies, from the punishing methods contestants faced to the behind-the-scenes drama between its star trainers. A standout moment when attention is grabbed comes courtesy of Bob Harper, Michaels' longtime colleague and fellow trainer on the show. Harper claimed that Michaels never contacted him after he suffered a near-fatal heart attack in 2017, a statement that Reeves said was especially hurtful to fans who had become invested in the duo.

Harper explains that her silence is a case of the old adage, "less is more. "There were a lot of feelings around that. And I was really taken aback because she had a lot of time with me. "My silence is a statement. However, Michaels is now fighting back, implying that the story as presented in the documentary is not the whole truth. In an August 19 Instagram post, she shared a screenshot of what she claims was one of her final text messages to Harper, from 2014. The message revealed Michaels calling out Harper for ignoring her when she reached out, "I really think it's s--ty of you to not even respond to my texts. It's this kind of thing that always makes me so disappointed my [sic] our relationship." In the Instagram post.

Michaels is portrayed in a different light than the narrative presented in the documentary, and it also suggests that all was not right between the two trainers, long before Harper's 2017 health concerns that put them on the outs. By opting to present some evidence of her own side of the story, Michaels appears to be trying to regain control of the narrative and contest the way she's being represented. As debates rage on among fans about who is completely telling the truth, Jillian Michaels is not backing down. Her answer demonstrates that she's up for a battle, not unlike the one waged on The Biggest Loser. Now that she is speaking, the story of Fit for TV just got a little messier.
