Kendell captures the battle between looking back and moving forward with "Left Against My Right"

Kendell's new release, "Left Against My Right," is a rock-Americana song driven by inner turmoil, the conflicting forces that can tug a person in two directions. The song is about the battle of the mind and the heart, dark and light, the voice that says go back, the voice that says go forward.

"Left Against My Right" opens with struggle and frustration. The narrator emotionally resists the force pulling her backward, and that struggle makes the song personal, for the fight is not only external. The narrator has contending urges to deal with, and as the song progresses, it moves away from that struggle and toward some kind of resolution.

Its Americana-rock identity fits perfectly with a song about choices, emotional direction, and personal movement. "Left Against My Right" explores that awkward space between looking back and choosing to move on. Kendell explores what happens when different voices clash, and a solution begins to form.
