"Mr. Minute Hand" gives North Ravi's story a memorable character

"Mr. Minute Hand" gives North Ravi's latest release a memorable, easy-to-remember image. In the larger context of his debut album, "Patchwork Epilogue," this song carries even more weight as the project explores personal growth, past struggles, and the hard work of getting out of your own way.

North Ravi is an Atlanta-based MC and producer dedicated to real, left-field hip-hop. This is a personal project, exploring the tension between the forces that hold you in the past and the desire to become something more.

"Patchwork Epilogue" is a raw, unfiltered account of the artist's story, and he took very little outside input in making the record, collaborating minimally so the project stayed close to his own experience. Therapy and healing are also the real prize in the process, even as he admits some of the songs are still hard to listen to.

That honesty makes a strong case for "Mr. Minute Hand" to stand out. It is tied to a single project where personal growth isn't a straight-line destination. North Ravi seems interested in the awkwardness of facing where he has been and trying to move on.
