Sadaya Paige In Critical Condition After Hospitalization For Adrenal Shock'

Sadaya Paige, a 14-year-old TikTok influencer, is on the mend after a terrifying health scare that resulted in the teenager being hospitalized over "adrenal shock." Her mother, Dora J., announced it to her followers on June 22. Dora updated fans about the young creator's status on June 10 when she said her daughter was in critical condition.

The frightening episode continued as Sadaya's condition worsened in the blink of an eye. Sadaya, known for her positive attitude and for making fun of TikTok videos in which she sings and dances, had felt great earlier in the week. In an Instagram and TikTok post, Dora shared that Sadaya was in hospital. She posted a touching picture of her holding her daughter's hand while Sadaya slept, an IV attached. Sadaya was born with Septo-optic Dysplasia, which is a rare grouping of conditions that result from abnormal development of the connections between the eyes and the brain, Doras said. This diagnosis has translated to continuing battles with her health for Sadaya all her life.

But this time, it wasn't just the Septo-optic Dysplasia that became a concern. Dora said Sadaya is also hampered by a shortage of cortisol, which does not allow her to create the required stress hormones. This lack, she said, made Sadaya extraordinarily susceptible to what Dora calls an "adrenal shock," a potentially fatal condition in which the body cannot handle the stress of lack of these life-giving hormones. The point is that Dora went to the doctor when things got serious. At that point, the adrenal shock diagnosis was confirmed by doctors.
