Teen Mom alum Kailyn Lowry has officially confirmed that she and fiancé Elijah Scott have called it quits after nearly one year of being engaged, following months of swirling rumors and obscure social media content. The split, though it didn't come as a total shock, was another bump in Kailyn's winding personal road.
Kailyn was brutally honest when she appeared on the June 27 episode of the Give Them Lala podcast, hosted by Lala Kent, and there was no sugarcoating it. "I get a lot of s--t for leaving my kids' dads," she said, in a refreshingly no-nonsense take on her previous relationships. Elijah is no different in that rule. Lowry, who has three children with Scott, said the breakup was not the result of a single major incident but rather another example of her tendency to choose peace and stability over being in unhealthy relationships. Never one to present her family as anything resembling ordinary, after all, she does have four baby daddies, Kailyn has owned her truth.

"There are a lot of unique circumstances in our family," she said. "I'm eighbors with one of them." Her candidness remains one of the things that keeps her fans so invested, providing a raw, sometimes untidy but always honest portrait of modern motherhood. While many others are keen to keep their private lives private, Kailyn has constantly confronted her issues head-on, from being on camera to behind the mic. That's how she sees her breakup with Elijah Scott as its own thing, an opening, not a loss
Now, far from her empty arms once ruled by unwanted love, Kailyn Lowry is happy settling back into the role of single mom, having learned that although love does come and go, a woman's worth is always constant. In a world where women are coercively encouraged to "stick it out for the stability," Kailyn wrote a different and more enlightened story, one bold move at a time.
